Who We Are

Launched on the web in Early 2010, SurrogateGrandparenting.com is a unique online organization. We have created an online community for families to find each other. We match:

Families that have Children

Families with children of all ages whose grandparents are deceased, distant or otherwise unavailable due to incarceration, drug abuse, estrangement, etc.

With

Surrogate Grandparents

Responsible, healthy, independent, caring, older adults who would love to be a surrogate grandparent

What We Do

Our mission is simple: to help families create the extended family they want and need.

How It Works

At SurrogateGrandparenting.com we give families the opportunity to express themselves through a state-specific post in a members-only forum. Profiles may include photos; posts may include preferences regarding the family they’re searching for. SurrogateGrandparenting.com also understands the importance of privacy and integrity. All communication between member families on SurrogateGrandparenting.com happens through an “anonymous” email network. The names and contact information of all of our member families are kept confidential until the family decides to share the information. All member families are strongly encouraged to trust their instinct as to whom is right for their family.

Who Runs SurrogateGrandparenting.com

Christene is a parentless, stay-at-home-mother to one toddler daughter, one hardworking husband and one Cavalier Kings Charles Spaniel. She is a health educator by trade, on sabbatical while raising her daughter. She lost her father when she was 9, her mother when she was 22 and now married with a child, she longs for the mothering she doesn’t have and for the grandparenting for her daughter she might never have. Christene is finding a way to create the extended family she wants, through SurrogateGrandparenting.com

    Christene,

I just read your bio. I am so sorry for your losses.
Everyone needs to be ‘mothered’ – no matter what age!

    Hugs,
    Terry Kelly

    Hi Cheryl,

Click on the Get Started tab at the top and register. All of the directions are there. Then post your announcement in your state once registered. Then read through your state to find other families in need of a surrogate grandma. If you have any issues with registering, email me: admin@surrogategrandparenting.com.

    Welcome to the family!

Can you email me your poster in an attachment with Word? I can’t seem to pull it up. I’d like to get things started out her in Southern California.

    Thanks,

    Elizabeth

Hi, Having trouble navigating the site in Maryland. Are there any families registered in the DC area at all? Can’t seem to find any!

  9. admin says:

Welcome Potomac Family! While we do have many areas represented here, it doesn’t look like we currently have any families in your area… so what to do? Login to the Forum and click on Step 4: Search Announcements for your Family, scroll down to What to do if there are no local families and download the simple flyer. Print it out (black and white, color, inkjet, laser) and post it in and around your area. There is a list of popular locations on the webpage… In addition, I try to keep this website front and center using as many free promotional websites as possible. If you have additional suggestions, I’m open to creating relationships with website communities to help us all make these connections!
